zours-movie-snack Chewsy Kids are still on summer vacation. I’m not going to act like I don’t miss them, but I have been enjoying the time I have been getting to spend with Buckaroo. It’s nice to have thought-provoking, meaningful conversation with…an adult. :-) One of the things we love to do together that we have been able to do often since the kids are away is have movie night. We love movies and can watch ones we love over and over again like we’ve never seen it. I usually pick up our movie snacks at Walmart, and this time was no different. In addition to our movie date dinner (usually homemade hot wings and salad) we also get popcorn and candy! You have to create the entire theater experience. So great munchies are important!
We love Mike and Ike’s candy and have since forever. We like to pull out the red and green ones and eat them and give the leftover ones to the kids. Well I spied with my little eye some new Mike and I keep candies called Zours on the candy aisle. zours-candy-movie After sampling them all, I liked the blue ones the best. So I ate those first. On the regular I won’t buy sour candy. It just does something to your face before you can enjoy the candy. See! zours-face Check out my #ZoursFace #CollectiveBias! They were perfect though, because when you are buying candy for date night you need candy that makes your lips pucker. So you can smooch! It’s a date right? I decided to put a little spin on our date night dessert and make a layered dessert bowl. These Zours added the perfect sour touch! Lemon-bar-parfait Lemon Berry Bowls with Zours

The Great American Cheeseburger Experience with the Blippar App

I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser. blippar-hero Have you ever felt like you need a vacation? Like you have too much on your plate? That’s how I felt when I went to Walmart to do my shopping for the week. In the colder months people find comfort in soups, chilis, stews etc. In the summer my comfort food is burgers. We love to grill and a good grilled burger with a sweet tea on my back porch, puts my mind on vacation when I can’t get away. So #CollectiveBias let me try the new Blippar app and wouldn’t you know I got the perfect Bacon Cheeseburger recipe?! You know how much I love a good app they are convenient, they help you save money, and this one lets you take selfies with celebrities and gives you cool recipes! Have you ever used the Blippar App? Here’s how it works: First you need to download the Blippar App. You can do that HERE. Kraft-cheese Pick up your favorite Kraft cheese slices from Walmart. Your Blippar App will allow you to scan the product. Your smartphone camera works with the app to capture the image of the cheese and you will be able to access the goodies. blippar-bacon-burger You can choose to view recipes and you will get great recipes to make at home with your family and everything you need to make them so you know what to pick up while you are still in the store. Burger-menu-blippar You can also win cool prizes from Kraft and Brad Paisley by racking up on Paisley points. I met Mr. Paisley back in May at a conference. He’s such a charmer. ;-) Well now you can #SayCheeseburger with Mr. Paisley on the Blippar app and be entered to win things like merchandise and concert tickets. Paisley points I really loved that this app tell you from one product many ways to use it. Even as chefs sometimes we get stuck in preparing things the same old way. So I like that this app encourages you to change it up a bit and gives you options and direction on how to do that. This app is really easy to use and it’s fun! The kids even get a kick out of it. This weekend I’m definitely making this bacon cheeseburger and I’m putting my feet up. I need a vacation! What about you?
