This year on Mother’s Day I will be thirty years old. I started to get depressed, and mope, and complain about everything I wish I had done by now and things I wish I hadn’t done…but I’m finding it takes less energy to breathe in, and smile, and thank God that I’m not where or what I used to be. So with that being said, I have decided to celebrate my birthday all month long and enjoy my life and embrace it right where it is! Special Note: I also will be accepting gifts all month. My sister put me on to something a few years ago that I thought was really cool and this year I decided to give it a go. Birthday freebies! I mean we sign up for these mailing lists, and email lists and tell companies our birthday but do we ever take advantage of or even read what they send us? Well this year I am!
I have my birthday all planned out now. If I can get Buckaroo and the kids on board I will be ‘in there like swimwear!’ I’m going to start my day at Starbucks because they give you a free beverage and you knoooow how I feel about their Tuxedo Mocha! Next stop will be the International House of the Cakes in the Pan! Lord I love some IHOP pancakes and they give you two, with two eggs, and two meats for free on your birthday. My thought is that I will be full yet fabulous so before I eat another thing I can go hangout and enjoy Mother’s Day with my beautiful kiddos and take some pictures in Piedmont Park. In a perfect world my LOVING, AMAZING, AWESOME sister will come pick the kiddies up and baby sit for the rest of the day.(Was I buttery enough?) That way, I can go to Planet Smoothie and get a free small smoothie and go on a lunch date to Moe’s and get a free entrée (I love the “Homewrecker”) and free chips and salsa!! Heck yeah!!
I will probably be too full to eat anything else but Benihana gives you a $30 gift certificate towards dinner and Texas Roadhouse and Joe’s Crab Shack both give you a free appetizer with an entrée purchase. So many choices!! Oh the decisions to make! As long as Buckaroo swings me by Baskin Robbins for my free 2.5 ounce scoop of ice cream it will be a great ending to a great day. Pralines n’ Cream please!!! I may be stuffed like a little piggy but hey its my birthday, you’ve seen the commercial. ..”Chef don’t judge!”
