Initially, my visit to Target was to hit up the dollar spot that I love so much to find some decor for a brunch. I found the cutest polka dot paper straws the last time I was there, and right after Easter there were several platters, bowls, and other decorative items in beautiful spring colors! 
Well. The dollar spot must be someone else’s favorite secret place also, because when I got there ALL of the frugal finds for entertaining were gone…even the ones I hid under the Avengers and Hello Kitty Art Sets. 
Don’t judge me.
I decided to pull up my Target Cartwheel App on my phone just to see if there was anything I needed before I left. And wouldn’t you know just about everything I needed for this brunch was on sale!? Not the decor…The food! SCORE! 
Because we are just starting out, we shop for events as we need it. We don’t have a full fledged restaurant so we don’t just have food sitting around whenever someone hires us. We also don’t always do large engagements so Sam’s or Costco isn’t always the best option for us because the quantities are too large. I thought I would have to go to the grocery store but Target had everything I needed, fresh fruit, flour for muffins and frying chicken, spices, potatoes, and everything else on my list. And guess what? The Cartwheel App gave me an additional 5% off on each of those items which were already on sale! Cha-Ching! Brunch was a success and I spent LESS to pull it off than I would have at my normal grocer. 
I LOVE Target, there’s no hiding that but this app has just made me love it even more! It is always sending me new deals from every department in the store. The cashier can scan the items I put in my “cart” on the app and my savings automatically apply. My good friend and personal Target expert Natasha of Houseful of Nicholes tells me with the Target Red Card I can get an additional 5% my entire purchase on top of the deals from the app! Now if that doesn’t make you do a cartwheel what will!?
