Tuxedo Mocha Brownies

Word on the street is Starbucks has a secret menu. I actually have heard that many restaurants do. It’s not “CIA secret”, but they have a list of menu items that’s not on the daily menu, but you can still order them. Well, two of my lovely friends gave me the “tea” on one drink on Starbucks secret menu, the Tuxedo Mocha. I am already hooked on the White Chocolate Mocha so this was right up my alley. It’s called the Zebra Mocha in some circles. It is a regular mocha mixed with white chocolate. It is sooooo delicious!!! I don’t get by Starbucks much because…well…”the way my wallet is set up at the moment…” ;-) but when I really want to treat myself now, this is what I order.
Tuxedo Mocha Brownies
I realized going through my pantry that I had all the makings for a Tuxedo Mocha but I wasn’t in the mood for coffee. So I made brownies. They were fantastic. So I decided to share. You’re welcome. :-)

Strawberry Shots!

Have you ever thought about making shot glasses out of strawberries? It can be done. This is a sexy way to wow your guest(s) for your next dinner party or “Girls Night Out”.

strawberry shots

Ingredients
1 pint Fresh Strawberries (the Bigger The Better)
6 ounces, weight Semi-Sweet Chocolate Melted
8 ounces, fluid Smirnoff Strawberry Vodka

Instructions
- Rinse the strawberries and turn them onto a paper towel placed in a bowl.

- Cut the peak of the strawberry where it can stand on its bottom.

- Cut the top of the berry where the stem is and then with a spoon, scoop the pit out. Don’t scoop too much because your strawberries will be too thin.

- Melt the chocolate in the microwave, checking every 30 seconds and stir with a spoon. Before you start dipping the berries, prepare a small baking sheet and line it with wax or parchment paper. Begin to dip the bottom portion of the strawberry and place them on the parchment paper. Once all strawberries are dipped in chocolate, place in freezer for 15 minutes.

- Take the berries out of the freezer and fill them with a little bit of the vodka.

My name is Nicole and I am a food blogger. My blog consists of easy, simple, and delicious recipes that is fit for any walk of life. My main purpose is to show how cooking doesn’t mean you have to turn into an “old lady” you can still be sexy by cooking a home cooked meal for an army! I think cooking is often seen as something we have to do versus something we love to do. I’m switching it up! Women can have their careers, soccer games, night out with girls, and still have time to cook a “sexy” meal for her man.

Peanut Butter S’mores Cupcakes

Our Koko Love is celebrating her 6th birthday tomorrow!!! So today we are sharing one of her favorite things to eat. We aren’t really campers (well Buckaroo is), but during this time of year we love s’mores and we ALL love cupcakes!!! So this is our ‘peanutty’ take on this campfire treat.

Let’s enter a little food history —–> {HERE} S’mores were created by the Girl Scouts of America in the 1920’s. Did you know that? I wonder why they didn’t make them a cookie. A traditional s’more is a chocolate bar, and a marshmallow that has been roasted over an open campfire, sandwiched between graham crackers. S’mores are really easy to make and they can be enjoyed indoors or out. They have inspired all kinds of foods people enjoy today, from breakfast pastries, to brownies, to these SIMPLY SCRUMPTIOUS cupcakes!

Peanut Butter S’mores Cupcakes

3 eggs
1 1/3 cup Water
½ cup Vegetable Oil
1 cup of Peanut Butter Chips (We like Reese’s.)
1 bag of Jumbo Marshmallows
1 cup Crushed Graham Crackers

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil, in a clean bowl until combined. Gently stir in the peanut butter chips. Spray cupcake liners with non stick cooking spray. Pour batter into each cupcake liner, filling it halfway. You can also use an ice cream scoop to portion it if you have one.

Bake immediately for about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and top each cupcake with one marshmallow, and return them to oven for 5 more minutes, until marshmallows are slightly browned.

(Only top the cupcakes that will be served right away because these cupcakes are best served warm. The others can be topped as needed with a quick, 10 second pop in the microwave.) Remove from the oven and top each cupcake with crushed graham crackers. Let cool 10 minutes and serve!
