It was all in the name. While we were painting the town we stumbled on this cute doughnut shop and with a name like Revolution Doughnuts we just had to know more. We couldn’t wait to get back to the blog to give you a review. A RAVE REVIEW!
Revolution Doughnuts is the name, and doughnuts is their game. If I had 1,000 tongues I still couldn’t fully tell you how much I love this cute doughnut and coffee shop on Atlanta’s east side. We found it on accident and let me just say that finding it was the best mistake I ever made.
I could think of a gazillion reasons you have to visit this place if you’re ever in Atlanta and I’ve only been there once (talk about first impressions); but I will just give you five.
1. The doughnuts are HANDMADE and use all natural ingredients.
2.They have flavors that you wouldn’t even think to put together in a doughnut like Orange Pistachio, Bacon Caramel, and Carrot Cake. How creative are doughnut SLIDERS that are stuffed with fresh seasonal fruit like strawberries or peaches!?! Yes. That’s on the menu too.
3. They make Vegan doughnuts that they have to tell you are Vegan because they taste AWESOME JUST LIKE THE OTHER DOUGHNUTS so you otherwise wouldn’t know!
4. Sometimes they do a mystery box for $6 and you get 6 donuts. So the great part is you get doughnuts for half price, and you get to be spontaneous! NO PEEKING!
5. They are open everyday. They have a small but cute outdoor dining area, and a cozy indoor area. So it’s perfect if you need to have a business meeting, study session, or coffee with friends. <—-ok so that’s a few reasons, but I REALLY love this place!
I could go on and on but I don’t want to ruin it for you. Just go!
The revolution will not be televised.
It will be homemade…
Filled, yeasted, baked, and caked.
The revolution will not be televised.
It will be fresh, twisted, tasty, salty, sweet,
Seasonal, natural, forbidden, addictive.
The revolution will not be televised. You have to taste it for yourself.
The Revolution…IS A REVELATION.
